Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian singer and actor. She is most known for her role on the American television series Law & Order, on where she played prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons as well as Crossing Jordan, on which she was the main character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She was also a part of films like RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and in independent film Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The latter was also written and directed by her. Hennessy was born and was raised in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat vendor and a sales/marketing executive. This job required a lot of travel and resulted in frequent family relocations. Maxine Hernnessy, Maxine's mom and secretary, died in 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother from Kitchener (Ontario) was involved in the raising of her daughter. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. is Jacqueline Hennessy the identical twin, who works as a journalist for a magazine and a TV host in Canada. Hennessy is of Irish as well as French, Swedish, Italian and Swedish ancestry from her father, and most of her Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. After finishing her studies at Grand River Collegiate Institute (both in Kitchener) She went to Stanley Park Senior Public School. She also took part in the Toronto subway. Hennessy as well as her sister were the first actors to be cast as twin call girls on 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's sister, revealed that she was shortlisted for The X-Files for Dana Scully's role. Hennessy also played the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus on RoboCop 3. In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy to the role as Claire Kincaid assistant district attorney on Law & Order. The role was occupied for three seasons, before she left the show in 1996.
