Don Rickles Biography

 Don Rickles was an American actor, comedian, author, and stand-up comedian. He was well-known and highly regarded entertainer. His quick wit combined with humorous remarks and genuine love for his audiences created an irresistible mix. He brought joy, laughter, and amusement to many. Due to his ability to make an insult appear funny and uninvolved and frequently a performer in celebrity roasts. Because his insults were cruel and hurtful, he attracted lots of attention and anyone who was exposed to them would have a great time. While he began as a traditional comedian with rehearsed jokes in mind, he quickly realized that his spontaneous remarks were more appreciated than the written material. He was adored by many, including Frank Sinatra. He had two comedy albums, and was featured in many TV and film shows. He was awarded numerous awards, including a 'Lifetime Achievement' at 'The Comedy Awards.' His brand of insult comedy earned him a variety of nicknames, such as  The Merchant of Venom The Insultan, Mr. Don Rickles was only able to get small TV roles following his graduation. In order to supplement his income Rickles started doing stand-up comedy. He was eventually referred to as an  insult comedian. He started the 1970s by playing a major part in the cult film 'Kelly's Heroes' (1970) in which he starred Clint Eastwood. He also appeared on television comedy shows like "The Don Rickles' (1972) or "The Dean Martin Roasts" (1973). Barbara Sklar was Don Rickles' wife on March 14 in 1965. The couple had two kids: Mindy and Larry. Their son died in the year 2011. His best acquaintance was Bob Newhart and the two often went on vacation together with their wives. They been on numerous shows together, including 'Newhart.' Don Rickles died of kidney disease on the 6th of April, 2017, in his residence in Beverly Hills, California.
