Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born May 12, 1972 is an American actress. Her most well-known role is that of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018) where she received two times the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. Also, she was in the NBC miniseries Whitney (2011)-2013, ABC's with Her(2003)-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native was born on 12 May in 1972. Her mother was the executive secretary in the United States Navy, her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service. The family lived in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and was frequently moved throughout her childhood. As a child she was inspired by her grandparent and grandmother to study drawing, painting and architecture. While she continued her pursuit of the visual arts, she discovered a passion for acting. She was also introduced to modern theater in the course of her college. In 1994, she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. While in college, Seehorn was looking to be a theater actor, following the encouragement of her acting instructor. She took on a variety of assistant roles within the theater industry in D.C. to try to get noticed. When she did manage to get major roles in local theater productions and had to take on odd jobs in order to survive but she continued to work in the film industry as an instructional filmmaker. Soon she began to be involved in more TV productions. Her role was often compared to Bea Arthur, who was described by her as "very funny," "sarcastic, and well-educated" women. A majority of these roles ended up being deleted after only two or three seasons. Seehorn was played by Kim Wexler for the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn is Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love interest for the Jimmy McGill character.
