Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara, Spanish was born on the 10th of July 1972. She is an actress presenter, producer model, and television presenter from Colombia. Vergara was the highest paid actress on American television between 2013 until 2020.Vergara became famous after hosting two television shows for Spanish-speaking television network Univision in the mid-90s. Chasing Papi (2003) was her first big acting performance in English. In the following years, she was a part of Four Brothers (2006) and Tyler Perry's comedy Come To Jail (2008). She was nominated for an ALMA Award for the former. She began her career as Gloria Delgado–Pritchett in ABC's comedy series Modern Family, for which she was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards and eleven Screen Actor Guild Awards. Her voice-overs included Happy Feet Two (2011) and Escape from Planet Earth (2013). She was also in The Emoji Movie (2017). Vergara was also a top-paid Hollywood actress in the year 2020. Vergara's mother Margarita Vergara was a homemaker and her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher. In the eyes of her five siblings and many cousins, she was referred to as "Toti". Vergara was a student for three years studying dental school at the National University of Colombia. But she chose to withdraw from the school two semesters in advance to pursue opportunities in showbusiness and modeling.
